Registration Fees (Click Here to view this page in Spanish)

The registration fee is $50.00 (USD) for each course. This amount includes the Student Manual that accompanies each course. If the student is able to be present on site in El Paso, he or she will receive a physical copy of the Student Manual (usually in the form of a notebook). If the student is studying online, he or she will receive the Manual as an e-mail attachment. In this case, the student will need to print the Manual in order to use it in class.

Some courses require a text in addition to the Student Manual. For example, in the course BIB 103 “The Life and Mission of Jesus Christ,” students need the book Jesús de Nazaret, Mi Señor by Hector Hoppe (cost is $9.00). The registration fee does not include such books. They can be acquired directly from the publishers or through the Missionary Institute.

The registration fee (and payment for any other required books) can be paid in two ways:

  1. A check in US dollars can be made out to “Lutheran Hispanic Missionary Institute” and mailed.
  2. Online payments can be made on the Missionary Institute webpage: Pay Fees
In cases of economic need, registration fees can be partially or completely waived. The Missionary Institute expects that the students’ congregations will also contribute in this regard. Students should consult the Director of the Missionary Institute if they need financial help. The Institute already scholarships each student $750.00 for each course.
